Thoughts:
After a slow start, I've really started to get into running. I always run in the same area, around the local park, and I moved it up from two laps to three laps for the last couple of runs and noticed my stamina has increased a great deal. The pace I've been keeping has been more than satisfactory, and I'm definitely interested in increasing my stamina for now, rather than speed.
Physically, I haven't lost any weight, but I feel significantly fitter and somewhat leaner. I assume the weight is shifting from fat to muscles. My constitution has improved immensely and I'm getting much better nights of sleep. Last night was the first time my shins started to hurt since starting running so I might have to lay off for an extra day or two this week. I get shin splints every time I run on a machine in the gym, but it hasn't been bad at all in the park. I've got a cough anyway, so this week might be a write off if it doesn't improve tomorrow.

Music:
My Vitriol "Always Your Way" - awesome for both 20 and 30 mins.
Bloc Party "Intimacy" - awesome for 20 mins.
Way Out West "Don't Look Now" - a bit slow, maybe better if I start from track 4 or 5 though.
I'm going to give some of those Nike Original Runs a try too.

Funny enough my shins started to ache because I didn't run for the last 7/8 years lol, I'd feel pain after running for just 5 minutes. Maybe you're reaching a peak that you'll inevitably break? Or maybe you do just need rest man. We're in similar situations I've been running for the 4th week now 4-6 days a week and I'm feeling improvements when comparing each week, it's quite surprising how fast you can feel results eh?

Does your states read: Date | Distance | time | average speed | Calories consumed?

Yup, exactly. I'm still a little slow, but getting somewhere at least. Running's great to work off the stress as well.

You're a better runner than I, sir. ^^;

I'm still at 10-15 minutes a night, but that's partially because of work, partially because I'm still so out of shape. -.-

Nice! I'm going to invest in one of those iPod armband things so I can start running. I think I live one of the least healthy lifestyles ever. Last week I drank heavily 5 nights, I get little to no exercise, and I feel like shit all the time. It's catching up to me. Time to get some exercise.

Over the summer I ran about 2 miles / day after work, only drank on the weekends, and felt awesome. I need to get back to that.
